€20,000 raised and still counting.

As the count stands at the moment of writing, our sponsored walk last month has now raised €20,093. The support and effort from everyone has been incredible, and we are so grateful for the enthusiasm that everyone has shown in helping us to raise funds.
Not only have we moved passed our initial target of €20,000, but there are still some people who have yet to return their sponsorship cards and more people, still, letting us know on our Facebook and Twitter pages that they still have some money raised to pass on to us. So not only have we reached our target but there's still more funds coming in.
The funds raised will be of huge benefit to the Mobile Outreach Unit organized by the Alzheimer's Society of Ireland. The bus itself costs €50,000 to purchase and setup and a further €30,000 annually in maintenance and running costs. So with all the help that you have given us in helping raise money from our walk for Peggy and Casper last month, you've helped to provide mobile support for those with Alzheimer's for almost an entire year.
If you still have a sponsorship card and funds to return, you can organize to drop these into us by contacting us on our Facebook page or by emailing us on firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have any photos from the walk, you can also add those to our Facebook page or send them to us via email. We'd be delighted to receive them. You can see a select few images on our gallery page and more on our Facebook page as well.
