Meeting with An Taoiseach and Minister for Justice
Published on 20 February 14
On Thursday 13th February, we met with the Taoiseach Enda Kenny and the Minister for Justice and Defence, Alan Shatter. Over the last few months, we have spoken to many different persons and groups who have experienced the trauma of missing persons. We believe that there are definite gaps in protocol, reaction time and resources that are required to make the a search more succesful. We have discussed these at the meeting and dearly hope that there is change and clarity that will make a difference for the future. More news as we hear it, but to be fair to the Minister, we have already received an acknowledgment of the meeting and the points we discussed. Both Enda Kenny and Alan Shatter have committed to communicating back to the Foundation on the points that we raised.
